TL;DR

Reviews written around real constraints: short sessions, interruptions, and a budget that has other demands on it.

Most gaming sites review games. This one is trying to answer a narrower question: is this worth your limited free time?

If you have a job, a family, or both, the calculus changes. A ninety-hour open world is not automatically better value than a twelve-hour game you can actually finish. A headset that sounds incredible is no use if it means you cannot hear a child two rooms away. A console that takes twenty minutes to update before it will let you play has already eaten a third of your evening.

What to expect

Reviews, guides and the occasional bit of news, all judged against the same framework. Every review answers a fixed set of questions before it gets anywhere near a score, so you can compare two reviews written months apart.

There will not be a review here of something that has not been used properly. If a verdict is provisional, it will say so. If something has not been tested, it will say that too.

What is coming

The plan for the first few months is straightforward: build a foundation of cornerstone articles, get to a reliable weekly review, then add the newsletter. No launch-week promises about features that do not exist yet.
